Performance Horse Series
Produced with the support of the
Law Offices of Stacy Miller

Performance Horse Series topped off it's tenth year by awarding almost $4000 in added money for the last show.  Of course, everyone was a winner again this year because our generous sponsors provided half of the cattle fee and half of the reining fee for our contestants.

We welcomed Allan and Roberta Mendes and two of their horses from Maui.  Allan ended up cleaning up!  Congratulations!  We also welcomed Re'al Pocock and her horse Sunny.  They are new to cow horse and ended up second in the Cow Horse Two Step.  Not bad for a crash course two days before!  Way to go Re'al.

Ted and Tucker Robinson came to give us a much needed clinic and worked as our judges for the show.  We sure appreciate their honest feedback and sincere care for our riders.  I think everyone enjoyed their company.

We added a new and totally thrilling class- The Gambler- In this ranch cutting style class contestants were partnered with an unknown rider to form a team.  Allan Mendes and Bud Gibson came out on top!  I think this may be a class to add to every show.

PHS History
A nine year-old girl's dream came true twenty-three years later when PHS was formed in January 2002 by Cory and Heather Gibson.  The couple realized only one cow horse show a year was not enough for most riders and decided to commit to advancing reined cow horses in the Pacific.  PHS is an activity with something for everyone; the young, the old, all riding levels, and any breed of horse is able to compete.  With no membership fees, contestants can give reined cow horse a try without commitment.
Cow Horse is an additive sport with all levels of competition.  If you have information leading to someone who wants to be a member of the fastest-growing equine sport on Oahu, please email- cowhorsechick@msn.com

See you in the show pen!
